‘An Advert for Kaz Cars’
An Advert for Kaz Cars is a fully animated video created by Lola. She explored the theory of left-brain and right-brain used in the advertising industry. The advert was aimed at different types of people, whether logically or creatively minded.
Lola used bright and bold colours creatively for an emotional appeal and incorporated figures and facts for the logically minded viewers. The advert was designed to grab the viewers’ attention through the use of a catchy and well-known song. Lola’s aim was to make the advert stand out and be memorable by keeping it clear, concise and simple.
Lola learnt and practiced new skills using Adobe Photoshop, After Effects and Premier to create this dynamic advert, combining motion graphics with audio.
Throughout this project, Lola took inspiration from various sources regarding composition, colours schemes, music and identifying the elements that make up a successful advert. A video advert by FIAT called Fresh: New Fiat 500 (2016) and YouTube tutorials by BazDZN and others, were the main influences that targeted most of these techniques.
All through the video, Lola used various transitions to give an action-packed and exciting aesthetic. This was intended to keep the viewers engaged during the animation.
An Advert for Kaz Cars achieved the requirement of the project brief because Lola is greatly interested in advertising and she successfully created an interesting advert.
