Recently, I’ve been using the light linking feature in Blender, this helps emulate how a key & fill light would work in photography. Ensuring that the lights only affect certain parts of the product or scene. Which in turn, creates more a realistic lighting set up with more control and more flexibility over the lights. This feature combined with a Blackbody shader? Chef kisses. In my latest blog post, I delve deeper into how these two features work hand in hand, when creating highly realistic product renders.
