Stand By is a short cinematic sequence about a young astronaut as she responds to a distress call. Surrounded by the beauty of space, she soon discovers something that changes her life forever. Using real soundbites of the Apollo 11 Moon trip from Nasa along with music and sound effects from @mixkit_co, sound design was the main focus to help carry the narrative forward. Grading Breakdowns
Here are a few grade breakdowns from Stand By.
This grade is to resemble the colours of a Nebula in space. Main goal was have the colours pop and be eye-catching whilst keeping her skin tones intact.
A Day for Night grade. The goal was to make it look realistic as possible and shot match it to the following scenes.
